For our Offshore Nacelle & Hub Department in the R&D organization, we are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer. Nacelle and hub structures are dynamical loaded which results in high requirements for the mechanical components due to the risk of extreme and fatigue failure. This is therefore a unique opportunity for you to develop your design skills in the various projects you will be contributing to.

In this role, you will become part of a dynamic and multicultural R&D environment where we work with the latest and most advanced technologies within wind power contributing to future green energy solutions. You will have a broad interface to different stakeholders and have the opportunity to build on your professional network in a very large and international organization.

What are my responsibilities?

From you start, we expect you to:

• Contribute to the concept development for steel, aluminum and plastic parts

• Do 3D modelling in NX

• Do 2D drafting using GPS (Geometrical Product Specification)

• Use TeamCenter for administration of 3D models and 2D drawings

• Participate in prototype assembly in the workshop

• Implement the learnings from prototypes

• Build on your network internally and develop your stakeholder management skills in a large organization

On a longer term perspective, we expect you to:

• Contribute to the Concept development of advanced shape modelling of large cast iron and composite components

• Manage large 3D assemblies

• Display strong stakeholder management skills

• Independently do D-FMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), DRA (Design Risk Assessment), DDL (Design Decision Logs) as well as Tolerance Stack Analysis

• Execute own New Product Development projects

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have a Bachelor or Master in mechanical or civil engineering

• You have experience with 3D modelling in CAD tool

• You have experience with 2D drafting in CAD tool

• It will be an advantage if you have knowledge of GPS, Tolerance stack analysis, SAP, NX and Teamcenter. If not, don’t worry, then we will make sure you will receive the appropriate trainings.

• On a pernonal vevel, you enjoy having a broad stakeholder interface and work proactive towards achieving your own as well as the team’s assignments.

• You have the ability to work both independently as well as in teams

• You have a structured, analytical and innovative approach to your tasks

• You possess very good communication and English skills – both orally and in writing

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
