ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role you will be working within a small team to develop and productionize manufacturing processes to deliver efficiency for high rate production to a world class standard.

We are looking for a tooling integration engineer to work within our manufacturing engineering team. The role will require design of tooling to enable the products to meet engineering requirements as well as the ability to support high rate manufacture. Supplier integration is required to ensure a successful solution.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will report to the engineering manager. You will be working in a small team of engineers. You will be working with internal and external customers and suppliers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will take your daily direction from the engineering manager. You will be expected to integrate internally and with external suppliers to deliver a production tooling solution. Typical tasks will be creating a statement of work, creating tooling and material handling concepts. You will liaise with the supply base to review concepts, drawings, communicate tool requirements and buy-off criteria.

You will be responsible to ensure a seamless implementation of all tooling into production and provide shop support.

ABOUT YOU

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering, OR in lieu of degree equivalent tooling design experience.
  • 7+ Years aerospace/ automative engineering
  • 1 year experience working with Catia V5
  • 1 year experience working with GD&T

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Automation experience is preferred.
  • Good communication skills
