PE Blades is accountable for delivering the manufacturing Production Basis, including development of process and tooling of the blades in Vestas. The Manufacturing Tooling and Value Engineering team is responsible for tool development and ongoing support for blades production towards 8 Blade factories globally. The team has about 40 employees located in Lem, Denmark, Isle of Wight UK and in Chennai India.
The tool team supports both new product developments and all our blades factories around the world in running production. The team is part of Blades Production Engineering, consisting of 100+ employees in total. Our identity and focus areas in Blades Production Engineering are to deliver and drive:

Take the lead and accountability to improve FMEA on an on-going basis.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will be to be technical lead, “go-to” person and accountable for the technical requirement specifications (TRS) in your area, in particular within equipment for grinding and paint process, carbon processing dispense equipment for glue and resin as well as grinding and paint processes. In addition your responsibilities will cover to:
Set safety as first priority and in line with our Heath, Safety and Environment policy.
Take the lead in specific technology areas, generate creative solutions to design challenges in order to fulfill and contribute to the future product and technology roadmaps
Motivate and inspire your colleagues through your technical leadership, and build competencies in your area
Ensure the most robust, reliable, efficient solutions with highest performance at the lowest cost.
Sign off FAT, SAT, BOM, Drawings, and CE documentation
Take the lead to challenge specification inputs to aim for the right specification level.
Be responsible for adherence to all external standards as e.g. CE & UL standards etc. as well as internal specifications and standards.
Work successfully with stakeholders and project delivery teams by living up to the Vestas Values.
Familiarize yourself with Vestas Way to Market and ensure adherence to methodology and tools
Anchor point and in close contact with all Blade factories to be able to support and deliver as agreed
Qualifications
You have an Engineering degree on bachelor level or higher, probably within Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
You have extensive knowledge from Manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing
You have experience from larger manufacturing companies
You probably have experience from cost out or value engineering projects
Competencies
Capable of driving technical projects across departments and cultures. Ideally certified in or experience with project management.
Capable of solving problems by using relevant methods and tools, e.g. six Sigma or similar
Experienced in making risk assessment by using relevant FMEA tools
Fluent in verbal and written English
Ability to work with complex solutions covering tools, processes and materials
Capable of ensuring sufficient technical requirements
Strong documentation and specification skills
Ambitious and collaborative mindset towards colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to communicate technically complex issues in an easily understandable way to stakeholders at different levels

Additional information
Primary work location is Lem in Denmark, and you can expect approximately 40 travelling days per year.
