Nilfisk is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of cleaning machines among which we have a very strong portfolio of High Pressure Washers. Our ambition in the professional high pressure washer R&D team is to drive the growth much further through technological innovative solutions. Right now we are restructuring the department and among several new initiatives we are looking for a R&D Senior Mechanical Engineer/ Technical Project Leader for the mobile professional HPW product line.

Develop the most innovative and best performing professional high pressure washers in the world

The professional high pressure washer R&D team counts app. 30 people based in Hadsund and Hungary. The mobile professional HPW team counts 5 people and is accountable for own product line and New Product Development (NPD) portfolio. We are known for having the highest ranking mobile professional HPWs in the market on e.g. performance, durability and user friendliness and we are depending on keeping it that way staying ahead of our competitors. We are proud of our products and we are ambitious and willing to do what it takes to be one of the market leaders and having fun while doing it.

As R&D Senior Mechanical Engineer/Technical Project Leader you are responsible for engineering design and technical project lead for the mobile professional HPW product line. You report to the Technical Team Manager for mobile professional HPW. Your specific assignments counts:

• Technical project lead for design concepts, engineering design and related planning

• Responsible for creation of design concepts and robust engineering design

• Design for injection molding – design of plastic parts for mobile professional HPWs and accessories

• Analysis and optimization of engineering design (especially design for injection molding) for current portfolio

Experienced R&D Senior Mechanical Engineer/Technical Project Leader

You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. It is a key that you have several years of experience in mechanical design in a similar R&D function. You are familiar with working in a R&D environment and have knowledge about development processes.

We expect the following qualifications:

• You are a specialist in mechanical design, especially design for injection molding

• You are a professional user of 3D CAD modelling, preferable Creo. It is an advantage if you have experience with FEM analysis

• You have knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical principles and functions

• If you have knowledge of production processes, especially in injection molding processes and tools it is an advantage

• If you have experience with stage-gate development processes and knowledge of basic quality assurance principles it is an advantage

• You are well familiar with MS Office and you are especially proficient in Excel

• You speak and write English at a high level since this is our corporate language
